Citi®'s Three-Tiered Approval System

Applicants with "excellent" credit can qualify for the lowest APR's that Citi® offers. If your credit worthiness doesn't qualify you for the top tier, you can still apply and possibly receive a second or third tier APR. In addition, some offers will display an introductory rate with the words "up to" next to a certain number of months. Only qualified Tier 1 cardholders will receive the maximum amount of months shown for their introductory period. Tier 2 and Tier 3 cardholders may receive a shorter introductory period. So, even if you don't have "excellent" credit, you might still qualify for the credit card you want at the Tier 2 or 3 level and enjoy the many benefits of being a Citi® cardholder.
